Graphic Designer & Front-end Web Developer
My name is Alex and I am a graphic designer and front-end web developer based in central Maine. I hold a (German) degree in graphic design. Besides my work as a freelancer I work as a designer (print & web) for a non-profit organization.
I’ve discovered my love for graphic design when I bought my very first own computer in 1997. Back then I only had Microsoft Paint and Paint Shop Pro but that didn’t hold me back from designing graphics, backgrounds and drawing digital pictures.
My interest in the internet and web design evolved in late 1999 & early 2000, when I designed my first websites. Back then I used NetObjects Fusion and knew nothing about HTML or CSS. In the following years my knowledge of coding/programming languages grew and so did my love for web design & development as well as the web standards.
I am a constant learner and live by the Kaizen philosophy. My move to the United States opened all the doors I needed to pursue my dreams and goals and to be successful in what I do and love.
